Nominations open for the 2015 UK Coaching awards

The UK Coaching awards honour sports coaches and coaching organisations who have demonstrated outstanding success over the last year.

Hosted by sports coach UK, the showpiece event is seen as one of the most prestigious within the coaching community. It raises the profile of coaches and the role they play in encouraging participation, performance and excellence. Previous winners include the most successful coaches from a wide variety of sports.

The awards are made following a public nominations process and decision by an expert judging panel. Winners will be announced at a glittering event in Manchester on Tuesday 1 December.

> Find out more about the categories, which include awards for volunteers working at a local level in the community through to coaches working with our national teams, and make your nominations today via the sports coach UK website.

UK Coaching Summit 2015

sport coach UK’s annual UK Coaching Summit celebrated 10 years of the event last month with a theme of ‘The Future of Coaching’.

The event took place at The Vale Resort in Cardiff and offered some of the UK’s leading sports coaches, developers and academics the opportunity to learn from each other’s expertise.

Day one focused on topics such as the use of digital tools and technology and how coaching must adapt to future trends. Day two was themed around women in coaching and the importance of recruiting female coaches to get more women engaged in sport.

> Further information on the event can be found on the sports coach UK website.
