Last Call for Tickets! Just Four Days Until The Cycle Coaching Event of 2015

Well, you can’t say we didn’t warn you! There are only a handful of tickets remaining for this year’s Pedal Power, and if you really have left it until the last minute to book a ticket, please contact Duncan Leith directly (details below) to ensure there’s seat reserved for you. We really would hate you to miss out on what promises to be another superb meeting. And just in case you’ve spent the past few months discovering a new species of moth somewhere in the rainforest, have just emerged from a state of suspended animation, or have only just discovered the wonders of the interweb, full details are below.

Should you require accommodation, this might still be reserved directly with the hotel at a specially arranged rate of only £69 B&B, by quoting the ABCC when you book.

Where: Ramada Hotel & Suites, The Butts, Earlsdon, Coventry CV1 3GG The hotel is less than 10-minutes walk from the Coventry railway station, and for delegates who arrive by car, there is adjacent parking in the Queens Road Public Car Park, with a concession rate for hotel guests.

When: Sunday, 15th November, 2015 Registration opens at 09.00, and the event will closes at 15.00. Teas, coffees and a buffet lunch are included.

Mike Veal B.Tech MSc of BikeDynamics, Bike Fitting Specialist: BikeDynamics has extensively researched the biomechanical theories behind optimum bike fit and coupled them with advanced motion capture technologies. he has fitted over 2000 cyclists with many outstanding results.

Dr Auriel Forrester: Auriel was a first class racing cyclist, a prolific winner on road and track, and a notable runner. She is a an acclaimed sports scientist. Formerly head of Sport, Exercise,and Biomedical Sciences at Luton University.She now runs her own Scientific Coaching company and is a world renowned expert on cycling with Power – having been the UK distributor for SRM since 1995. She will speak on “coaching with power” : to help coaches analyse, interpret and most importantly use their riders power data within their coaching programmes.

Tony Gibb: A household name for over a decade, Tony Gibb is a former UK No. 1 ranked rider, 14 times National Champion, World Championship Silver medallist, Commonwealth Bronze medallist, 9 times World Cup medallist and now National Masters champion on the road and on the track. Still racing very successfully at an Elite level, Tony is a passionate and dedicated ambassador for cycling and a regular member of the commentary Team at Eurosport.

Professor Greg Whyte OBE PhD DSc FACSM FBASES Director of Performance, The
Centre for Health & Human Performance. Physical activity expert, world renowned sports scientist and former Modern Pentathlete, Greg competed in two Olympic Games and is a European and World Championship medalist. Most recently known for his involvement in Comic Relief, assisting various celebrities in challenge events, Greg successfully trained Davina McCall in her ‘Beyond Breaking Point’ 506 mile ultra-°©‐triathlon.
